Butterflies... and Lasting Hearts Card Drive

Praying for you

Thinking of you

Hello and welcome!

I make a lot of cards that I don't sell or have a personal use for and when I read on Jennifer McGuire's blog about the Lasting Hearts Card drive I decided that not only did I recently make some cards to send for this very worthy cause, but that I'd be making more for this special program. (If you go to the links provided on Jennifer's name and the card drive itself, she will explain it a whole lot better than I can.)

This program touches close to home for me because I too, had a miscarriage. It was in between the births of my two daughters about 27 years ago and happened only a few days after I found out I was pregnant. My husband and I always figured that that special child was a son and he's now safe in the arms of Jesus. Why we didn't get to "keep" him is not ours to say. We felt all the range of emotions too... and only time passing has made it possible to even write about it now. Not many of our family or friends even know about it.

And so I will be sending these two cards as well as others I make along the way, to let someone else going through the same thing, that there is someone who cares and who prays for them to hold on... to Jesus.

God bless and thank you for stopping by.

  2. Your butterfly is beautiful and I'm sure the family that receives this will be touched by your care and generosity. What a great reason to make cards. Thank you for playing with us at Addicted To Stamps and More. Julie C. DT

  3. Hi Kris ~ I am also sending Jennifer some cards and, like you, know the pain of losing an unborn child. In fact, I had, over the years, lost three. It is painful and this is such a worthwhile endeavor. Your cards are, as always, stunning and that butterfly means "hope" to me. Nicely done and wonderful choices.
